Tammy Biton managed to found health, fitness and a career at Curves!
Emotional Eating
Thanks to a comfortable relationship Tammy Biton had noticed her waistline expand a little but wasn't too concerned. But when her beloved father dying suddenly in 2007 coincided with her first pregnancy, Tammy began to eat with a vengeance to block out the stress and emotional pain.
A Healthy Future
Despite many set-backs, by 2009 Tammy had begun to tackle her weight but found her efforts often thwarted by kilos that she lost just piling on again a few weeks later. Spurred on by her infant son's new found interest in food, she decided that the time had come for a real change. She wanted her son to grow up learning healthy eating and lifestyle habits from her, and was also troubled by her family history of type 2 diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
360° Health
Tammy's life changed forever when she joined Curves. 15 kilos lighter, she is now able to run around and play with her young son without being absolutely exhausted, and feels fitter and healthier, not just physically - but emotionally as well. Tammy's newfound attitude and confidence has also led to her building better relationships with those closest to her.
Open for Business
Curves also introduced another huge turning point into Tammy's life - she became a business owner. And not by starting just any business - motivated by what it did for her, Tammy bought her own Curves franchise! Her club is going from strength to strength and she says of her new journey: "It is the most rewarding job that I have ever had - I absolutely love going to the club each day. And I love that I have the energy to run around with my son when I get home!"
